Your worries never to heavy to lay aside to comfort me and brush away my tears ... Oh how we lived for the moments together, every moment with you held fast in my hand, wrung for every bit of joy. How the seasons passing seemed to leave us unchanged then fall came unto us and cruel fate struck you down, afflicted, and then gone ... Where did you go? I could not find you, though the night ended in subdawning I walked, tears streaming, calling your name. I am less without you, till I meet you amongst the clouds and gazing upon one another once more, I shall smile, for I am once more with you my friend ... I have missed you so |
Standing in the shadows, my broken soul laying like a splintered diamond upon the ground.
I look toward the light, hoping to find something sought after, clutched at yet never found ... I sought to be free from the shackling darkness and walk again in the sun ... And for a time it came to pass ... yet the shadows came once more and made her presence known. Silently, sight downcast, abandoned I stand alone ... And as she once more envelops me, a silent sigh escapes my lips and I languish bleeding ... |
